Carl W. Heindl

Name, age - Carl William W. Heindl, 28.
Where are you from?- Toronto, Canada.
Main activity - Photographer/Designer.
Your favourite cam – I'd have to say I am technically facinated with most folding cameras just purly on a human ingenuity standpoint. The Polaroid SX-70 for sure. Most cameras have their own unique charm.
Why do you shoot? - To record what I saw. To remember. Or simply just because I enjoy it and what it does to your perception.
Influences - to name a few Lina Scheynius, Jeff Wall, Ansel Adams, Man Ray.
A little about you - An overly ambitious, disillusioned graphic designer trying to find time to continue all my personal work and still sleep a little.
Share your own projects - Eroder.com, FOES.com, Eroder at Behance.net, The Five Deer, Flickr. More stuff always on the way, umm just did a pretty good mens editorial for CONTRA magazine, issue #007/p.29-39 - "Morning After".

We love Carl's numphs for their spontaneous look. It's like you just catch them out of the corner of your eye and find a filled with charm scene.

Krysta-Lee. I think this was after we'd wrapped up my balloon shoot out in the park for DJ/Producer Sydney Blu. Krysta-Lee and a few other friends assisted me. It was like -15°C and my initial idea was to shoot Sydney outside, with her breath showing on a dark field of baloons. It was a hard shoot. We had 3 costume changes and one of us had to stay at the park to guard the setup in the cold. By the end of it my flashes were all misfiring and I couldn't feel my fingers or toes. We all hit the booze pretty hard at my house afterwards, with the rest of the balloons.

This was a warm-up shot of Azurée getting ready for our shoot with some hair help from her friend. I liked her big big mirror, I remember hoping the flash would concel my position a bit, I liked her angular ceiling as well in the shot.

I was actually DJing behind the booth when I took that, just a fun little local night. That's Azurée and Mel in some sort of drunken, preternatural dancing courship ceremony.

That's Krysta-Lee again, part of a just-for-fun photoshoot on my roof. She was amazing, crawling all over the little wall up there, hanging upside down over it. Previously she'd helped me in my Tent Rippers series.

That's Val, last summer. We were hanging out front of a Mc Donalds I nabbed that shot.

Kirill Ginko

Name, age - Kirill, 22.
Where are you from - I live in San Francisco at the moment.
Main activity - Taking photos, rolling blunts.
Your favourite cam – Disposables, T4.
Point of shooting - I take pictures because when I'm walking around and I see something strange or interesting, I get this feeling like I need to take a picture. There's other forces working around us. It's magic, you know.
Influences - Hedonism, girls, Tarkovsky films, rap music.
A little about you- There's nothing better then finding an old roll of film, having forgot everything you shot on it and discovering gold.
Share your own projects - Right now I'm working on a photo zine called DREAM. The first issue is coming out now, check out the website www.dream-mag.com.

You could also visit Kirill's Flickr and there are his dreamy nymphs:

There is not much to say bout this one. This in my room where we play a lot of pacman and galaga. I think I'm getting over flash.

This is Julie in her old apartment. It was taken in the morning, which I think is the best time, light-wise to take photos.

I like this photo because it holds some mystery to me. Its like a through the looking glass kinda thing, where not knowing what is going on is actually more exciting than what is actually happening. There is a story to this one though, which I won't say.

This photo is from an adventure we took to the beach. You have to go through this wooded area to reach the beach which has all these thick trees and brush that look amazonian. I guess that's the magic in it.

This is a photo of a girl I know named Nina. I was drunk when I took this. I feel like that's when I get the best results.

David Richardson

Name, age - I'm David Richardson and I'm older than I look and younger than I feel.
Where are you from? - I live in London.
Main activity - Photography, sometimes I make music. I'm still bored of being poor.
Your favourite cam – My yashica T5 made me fall for photography and my little yashica loves me we're still inseparable. I had a stint with a Minolta Autocord which is a wonderful camera to use. I've just got hold of a Contax g2 so I'll see where that goes.
Why do you shoot? - I always loved art but was too lazy to spend much time developing my technique. I was more into concepts and expression. So naturally photography was my ideal format and it goes well with partying and sketching in the parts of my life I would forget. It works just as well when you're drunk.
Influences - I instantly found a kindred spirit in Anders Peterson, he truly captures peoples soul. I think you can see how much he cares for his subjects, they bare their souls to him. One day I will dream of being half as good as him. Richard Avedon does the same. I love the cheek and rawness of Terry Richardson's work. Larry Clark and Richard Kern are brilliant. I'm not particarly into a lot of fine art photographers. I find something lacking a lot but Nick Waplington is great.
A little about you - I have a poor short term memory so I take photos."Memento" is one of my favourite films and I have made sandwiches out of everything. I'm listening to "Paris 1919" by John Cale.
Share your own projects - Flickr. One day soon I'll make a website.

There are David's nymphs and some words about the pictures.

This a friend of mine a talented bassist in Romance and a fantastic girl! The was the first time I met her for an editorial. I think that's my finger at the top...

I take a lot of snaps when i'm out. I liked the way she held herself and how fucked she was.

Just a girl awkwardly but peacefully asleep despite all of the commotion of the party around her. I guess the song fitted the mood.

People try and save their heads from dropping on the floor when they are decapitated. I guess it appears quite sexual.

Girls rituals in the toilet are a mystery to me. But they always look great. She had a great look.
